Many thanks for helping your child with their senses box and sending it into school. If your child has not yet brought their box to school, please send it in on Wednesday, November 24th. If you are unable to obtain a box, please write in the diary.
Purpose of the boxes:
The children will be using their box to collect things that they like relating to our unit. They can bring small things from home, things they find outdoors (a plastic bag with leaves inside) and things from the classroom. You can help your child by providing him or her with ziplock bags to put their collections in. You can help your child find things around the house that they like to look at, touch, smell, taste or hear. Items are your child's choice, and can include music tapes or CDs of songs or stories, spices in bags, photographs of things too large for their box, a piece of cloth, etc.
