Language for November

During the month of November we will be
1. continuing the Synthetic Phonics program:
learning the letter sounds for 
sh, th, ch, tch, ll, ff, ck, ss
introducing Star Words
is, me, we, she, he
2. Continuing to focus on writing sentences using capital letters, finger spaces between words and full stops at the end of sentences.

3. reading stories from Big Books

4. working on stories about Zac the Rat, Peg the Hen, Mox the Fox, The Tin Man, and Gus the Duck
4. continue working on: 
rhyming words, 
clapping syllables,
visual discrimination,
auditory discrimination,
noticing the differences between a letter and a word,
noticing the direction used when reading a book,
singing songs and reciting poems
